I heard alot of chanting at the convention last night ..drill..drill..drill..drill
and also I heard alot of ranting as to why we should all fear Obama, but what I would like to know is just what is McCains plan? I am starting to believe Obama is absolutely correct when he say’s it will be four more years of the same.
No, they plan on opening a Koran printing plant (enjoy!).

I haven’t heard them mention the issues yet. I too have heard nothing but anger and fear-mongering. Sounds like the same partisan politics to me. Some “change”. It’s Bush’s campaign all over again.

I would recommend doing research on the Federal Reserve System and Ben Bernanke. The Fed has a much more substantial impact on inflation, interest rates and unemployment than the president.

If you noticed Mc Cain and Palin have not said much about the bad economy and how to bring jobs back…instead they talk about the war and oil…that’s it. Obama talks more about stuff normal citizens are going through…like job loss. McCain is another bush and Palin is the female Bush…they all have the same beliefs. America needs to vote for Obama if they really want thier country to suceed.

Perhaps you should rethink Michigan’s current “tax our way to prosperity” campaign. Michigan needs real industry - it’s a beautiful place (and my home state) but it truly lacks diversity of industry. I think that prosperity will spread east from the sunset coast, rather than up from rust-city.
Let me point out, too, that while you’re losing jobs, you’re welcoming illegal immigrants. Perhaps it’s time for Michigan to pare down the social services, reduce the taxes and start from bottom again.

yes, they spent the whole time bashing Obama’s plans yet never made it clear what theirs are. Just clarified my vote for Obama if you ask me

The job of laying out the economic plan is the job of Presidential candidate, not the Vice-President.
As far as asking what jobs can be brought back to Michigan, that really is more your Governor's, State Legislature's, and Local Governments. I live in NY, which isn't exactly booming. My bigger economic problem is Albany, not Washington. Perhaps yours is Lansing.

If it brings jobs back to a community what difference does it make… :/ jobs are jobs and they provide incomes….
many people without jobs are pretty picky it seems as to what they want to do…. no wonder we are becoming over-run with illegals that will do what our seemingly picky unemployed are not themselves willing to do…. :/
If it were me and I had the choice of mooching off the government via unemployment (and yes I realize this isn't everyone) or being a roughneck.. I would hands down choose roughneck….
And I have to agree with those that say it's the states responsibility…. While it seems like your state of Michigan's economy seems to really suck (from what I am reading into your question), my state of Texas is one of the more economically sound states… we have lower costs of living as well as (in some cities) so many jobs that unemployment is virtually non-existant and anyone that wants a job can get one…
