I’m 14 and 9 months (so old enough to get a job here in michigan), I just am not sure where to apply. What are the best jobs for teen girls? Also jobs that are safe? I really need a job so please give me good places! I live in like a suburb of flint, about a half an hour south of it, if that helps.

McDonalds is a great place to start because they hire people younger than 16. Dairy Queen and ice cream places like taht are good too. Putt putt golf courses are good too.

I went to school in 93 for medical assisting graduated with a 3.7….I just recently graduated from Everest Institue-Dearborn, MI with my certificate in Medical Administrative Assisting graduated with a 3.9(wow)…can’t find a job what do u suggest i do now?

I would try to get your foot in the door for anything, and then work your way up. A lot of hospitals are hiring from within rather than outside hires. Look into unit clerk, registration clerk, lab clerk. At the hospital that I work at (michigan) there is only a $1 difference in clerking and administrative assistance.

I’m looking into a class for Laser Tech and would like to know if this is a wise decision? I live near Port Huron/ Marysville, and I’m willing to drive at least 50 miles or so. My family is moving to battle creek mi and i would like to get a job this summer. could i get one at a grocery store or something we will live 4 minutem from the mall so i will have plenty of opportunites. also close to restaurants and a few stores. any ideas?

Your options are limited. Most businesses want you to be 16 to hire you for gainful employment.

Time to be inventive, My suggestions to you:

Make up fliers and pass them around in your neighborhood.

Offer to do whatever work it is you want to do, such as :

Computer work, Babysit, Clean Garages, Organize Cupboards, File Papers, Wash Cars, Mow Lawns, Pull Weeds, Tutor the neighbors kids, wash Dogs, Dog sit, Clean the Pool, Assist the elderly, whatever…

Post first whatever it is you want to do or are good at …
However, Keep your options open and make a decision after the persons call you instead of not giving them many reasons to call.

Say you are a student and available on weekends and all summer.

Your neighbors who might hire you do not have to be residents, they might be local businesses that need a little job done. Do not be afraid to ask and apply. You won’t get a job if you don’t try.

I found many schools using Google but i just don’t know the best choice(s). Also, it’s very important for me to know which of these schools actually offer jobs after the certification process is done. Would you help me with that, please? Thanks a bunch.

The best way to find out is to ask the schools if they find jobs for their students. Community colleges will offer these programs. It is possible that a truck driving school will take your money, then leave you stranded so check the Better Business Bureau to see if there have been any complaints. Another thing you may want to do is call some trucking companies and ask if they hire from truck driving schools. Many trucking companies want experienced truck drivers because it isn’t easy driving trucks into the cities where the roads get small and turning corners with a long trailer can get frustrating.

My husband is a trucker and he gets frustrated with the traffic, driving in the cities, trying to back up to a loading dock with very little room to maneuver the truck. There are some that actually abandon trucks because it turns out to be more than they thought. And there are those that require to to manually load and unload the trailers. When you start handling heavy items such as appliances or furniture, it can be a tough job to handle.
